We are located in the beautiful Missouri Ozarks

OUR GOAL IS TO PRODUCE TOP QUALITY BOXERS WITH OUTSTANDING TEMPERMENT, LONGEVITY, HEALTH AND OUTSTANDING CONFORMATION.

WE BELIEVE IN AND BREED BY THE ABC CODE OF ETHICS.

Stormy and Skye(the 2 that started Lando)

      HISTORY:

Lando Boxers was established in 2004.

Dean and I have been involved in dogs for many years. Having shown and bred English Mastiffs for approximatley 15 years.

In 2002, after having an accident, it was decided that the Mastiffs were to big for me to handle. We decided to begin our search for a smaller breed. I researched many breeds. Nothing seemed to fit in the other groups and I kept coming back to my love of the working breeds.

One day Dean mentioned boxers...So I began to research the breed. We were looking for a energetic, intelligent, working dog, that was easier for me to handle. We found that and so much more in the BOXER.

I began our search for our first boxer. After much research and talking to breeders all over North America, I found a show breeder in Wisconsin who was willing to give a newbie to the breed a chance.

We purchased our girl TADD'S RUBY IN THE SKYE aka Skye-Bot from Tom and Donna Doane of TADD Boxers. I couldn't have found  better mentors and friends than I have in the DOANE's. They have been wonderful and there are not enough words to express my gratitude.

Thus was the beginning of  LANDO Boxers.

Our boxers participate in Conformation, Obedience, Rally and Agility and Therapy work thru Therapy Dogs Inc.

 

HOW WE GOT OUR NAME: I've had alot of people ask how we came up with the name LANDO. It's a combination on my first intial and my husband's first Initial and then our last name

What's Going on At LANDO?

July2011 

Where does time go?

Seems like yesterday, I had just returnred from the ABC and now it's time to go to Waukesha, WI for 6 days of shows and too see some dear friends.

Waukesha is fast becoming one of my favorite places to go each summmer.Great people, Great Food and 6 dog shows, what more could one ask for!!!!

 This year it's extra special.

I will be bringing my Jett and Dusty home. I've missed them both.

The Jett X Jake breeding has taken place and we are all waiting patiently for the ultrasound in mid Aug. to see if we were sucessfull. I've added a pedigree for the litter on my planned breedings page Stay tuned for updates. Anticipated Due date

SEPT 16,2011

Dusty continues to do well in the ring with team Nantess on the lead. He now has 7 points.  He is consistently in the ribbons and loves the show ring.

We are hoping for a major during the Waukesha weekend.

Major or not he will be coming home for some R and R and to grow up a bit before we get back to the ring.

NEW Photos of Cracker are up.

He is coming along nicely and is out with the Nantess' for training. Watch for his ring debut in late Summer early Fall of 2011.

Ok, I've been away from this site for long enough!!!

I Apologize, but sometimes life just gets in the way

Been alot happening here at Lando. Read on for details.

Stormy was bred to Jake in March of 2011, unfortunately Stormy has/had developed cystic endometrial hyperplasia and had to be spayed, 30 days after the breeding. There were NO puppies concieved due to this condition. I was devastated about this but, I'm glad that Stormy will be around for many years to come. She is fully recoverd at this time and looking forward to earning a few new obedience titles.

Jett ( Lando's Onyx to Goodness of Tadd) will now be bred to Jake ( CH.Bentbrook's Texas Trooper) Many Thanks to Barb Carroll of Bentbrook for allowing me to use Jake one more time. It really means alot to me to be including the longevity and fantastic health testing that Jake carries into my blood lines.

 Jett is due in heat anytime.

ABC 2011

We had a good Showing at the ABC this year. Dusty was 4th in Futurity and his litter mate sister Decca made the cut in the classes. Please check out Dusty's page for updated photos of his recent show wins. 

I've also added new info on health testing ( ECHO's) that were done on Dusty and Jett at the ABC.
